Jiu-jitsu teaches kids to stay calm under pressure and control a situation without striking, which many parents value for handling bullying. Kids classes are taught by Alex Marshall, who holds a degree in physical education and is CPR/AED certified, and Nate Oses, who grew up training at BMAC and went on to win a world championship. Jiu Jitsu Authority ranks BMAC the #1 BJJ gym in Somerville for 2026, and BMAC kids won 7 of the team's 9 NAGA medals in 2025 and 2026.
